On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Mission Viejo High School will host the Mission Viejo Invitational, a Western Band Association competition bringing marching bands and color guards from across Southern California — and potentially Northern California and beyond — to our campus for
a Marching Band and Color Guard Competition.

ADVERTISING
At least eight high schools are expected to compete, comprising nearly 1,000 student musicians, directors, coaches, and support staff — plus at least 1,000 additional spectators throughout the day. It's one of the largest single-day events held on our campus, and a tremendous opportunity for local businesses to reach a captive Orange County audience while supporting music education.

From the South: Take I-5 North to exit 89 (La Paz Rd.). Turn right onto La Paz Rd. Get into the far right lane. Turn right on to Chrisanta Drive. MVHS will be on your right.

From the North: Take I-5 South to exit 89 (La Paz Rd.). Turn left onto La Paz Rd. Go under the overpass and get into the far right lane. Turn right onto Chrisanta Drive. MVHS will be on your right.
ENSEMBLES - WHERE SHOULD WE CHECK-IN?

Buses & Equipment Vehicles must check-in at the staging area - the turn-out on southbound Chrisanta Dr.

Once all buses and equipment vehicles from your school have checked-in, these vehicles will be directed to park in Lot 4 (& Lot 5 if necessary)

ENSEMBLES - WHERE CAN WE WARM UP?

Ensemble parking will be provided in Lot 4 (and Lot 5 if needed). To reach warm up areas, proceed down the driveway along the stadium. Please use caution over bumps and downhill grade. See Ensemble Access map for guidance.

Ensembles are encouraged to warm up in the areas marked with a yellow star on the Ensemble Warm-Up map. Baseball fields, tennis courts, pool area, and other areas marked with a red X are off-limits. Prop staging area is marked with a blue diamond.
ENSEMBLES - HOW DO WE ACCESS THE STADIUM FOR OUR PERFORMANCE?

Ensembles must assemble at the top of the stadium ramp prior to their assigned time and will be escorted down to the field. See Field Entry & Exit map for details.
